Help is one button away — even when you can't reach your phone.

InDanger sends a discreet emergency alert with your live location to the people you trust — over SMS and email — triggered by your power, volume or headset button, a home-screen widget, or a Quick Settings tile. No app to unlock. No screen to tap.

When seconds matter

Made for the moments you can't plan for

InDanger is designed for the situations where opening an app and tapping through a menu simply isn't possible — or isn't safe.

Walking alone at night

Feel followed on the way home? A discreet press sends your location to friends without ever taking your phone out of your pocket.

Domestic & coercive situations

Arm a silent headset- or volume-button trigger so you can call for help with the screen off — without anyone in the room knowing.

Medical emergencies

A sudden episode at home? One physical-button pattern alerts family and neighbours with your exact address — even if you can't speak.

Hiking & the outdoors

Off the grid with no Google services on your phone? InDanger still finds your location and sends it by SMS to your trusted circle.

Lone workers & older relatives

Night-shift, remote work, or living alone — a single tile, widget, or button keeps a trusted person one step away, always.

Everything inside

A complete safety toolkit, engineered to deliver

Every feature exists for one reason: to get your alert through, reliably, the first time.

Multi-channel dispatch

Alerts go out over SMS and email at once. Long or non-Latin messages send as proper multipart SMS — never silently truncated.

Durable delivery

A persistent, queue-backed pipeline keeps sending across app kills and reboots, with automatic retries until every contact is reached.

One-hop channel failover

Give a contact a backup channel and if SMS can't reach them, InDanger automatically re-sends the same message by email (or vice-versa).

7 ways to trigger

Power-button pattern, headset button, volume button, Quick Settings tile, home-screen widget, notification actions, and a signed external intent.

Discreet Arm mode

Arm the headset/volume trigger and put the phone away. Screen off, in your pocket — a single press fires the alert, with an optional confirmation window.

Location, with or without Google

Uses fused location when available and falls back to the system providers when it isn't — so it works on phones with no Google Play Services at all.

Tap-to-cancel window

An opt-in countdown lets you cancel an accidental trigger from a notification before anything is sent — so false alarms stay private.

Safety simulation & self-test

Verify everything end-to-end by sending a real test to your own number and inbox. Your emergency contacts are never messaged by a test.

Built-in accessibility

High-contrast theme, reduced motion, larger controls, dynamic text scaling, haptics, and full screen-reader support with live-region announcements.

Privacy & security

Relay credentials are stored encrypted via the device keystore. No hardcoded secrets, and tests are isolated so they can never reach a real contact.

Reliability timeline

An in-app activity log records every trigger check, dispatch attempt, failover, and permission change — so you can confirm protection is really on.

Battery-optimization aware

Guides you to exempt InDanger from aggressive battery savers, so monitoring keeps running in the background when you need it most.

12 languages, built in

The whole experience is localized into twelve languages, with parity- and placeholder-checked translations to keep every screen correct.

How InDanger works

  1. 1

    Add your trusted contacts

Add the people who should be alerted by SMS or email — each with an optional backup channel and a personal message.

  2. 2

    Choose your triggers

Pick the ways you want to fire an alert: a power-button pattern, a discreet headset or volume press, a widget, or a Quick Settings tile.

  3. 3

Arm & go about your day

Turn on monitoring and, when you want extra discretion, arm the silent trigger. Test it safely whenever you like.

  4. 4

One signal, help on the way

A single trigger sends your message and live location to everyone, instantly and durably — and keeps retrying until it's through.

Engineered & verified

Tested where it counts

An emergency tool only matters if it works the one time you need it. InDanger is built and tested by SoftwareDevTeam.gr against the failure modes that break lesser apps.

  • End-to-end dispatch tested to survive a process kill mid-send
  • Multi-channel send with verified automatic failover
  • Location confirmed to work without Google Play Services
  • 12 languages guarded by parity, placeholder & encoding tests
  • Release build hardened and shrunk (R8) with verified keep rules
  • Self-test isolation: a test can never reach a real contact
Speak to everyone

Available in 12 languages

Safety shouldn't depend on the language you speak. Every screen is fully localized.
