This page explains how to delete your InDanger data. In short: InDanger has no account and stores your data on your device, so you are always in control. Please also see our Privacy Policy.
No account — nothing on our servers
- InDanger has no registration, login, or account, so there is no account to delete.
- We do not operate a server that stores your contacts, location, or messages, so there is no server-side data for us to delete.
- Everything you enter stays on your device — and you can remove it at any time using the steps below.
1.Delete specific items in the app
Open InDanger and remove exactly what you want:
- delete individual emergency contacts (which also removes their stored message and backup channel);
- clear your self-test recipients and adjust or reset your settings; and
- clear the in-app activity log.
2.Delete all app data at once
To remove everything InDanger has saved on your device in one step, use your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Apps → InDanger → Storage → Clear storage / Clear data.
This permanently deletes all data the app stored locally, including your contacts, settings, the encrypted email-relay credentials, and the activity log.
3.Uninstall the app
Uninstalling InDanger removes the app together with the data it stored on your device. After uninstalling, nothing remains for us to delete, because we never held a copy.
4.Messages you have already sent
Once an alert or test message has been delivered, copies are held by your mobile carrier, your email provider, and the people who received it, under their own retention policies. To delete those, please contact the relevant provider, or ask the recipients to delete the message on their side.
5.Requests & questions
Because we hold no server-side data, there is normally nothing for us to delete on our side. If you believe we hold any personal data about you, contact us at InDanger@softwaredevteam.gr and we will delete it within [e.g. 30 days]. You can read more about your rights, including the right to erasure, in our Privacy Policy.
6.If we ever add accounts
InDanger does not use accounts today. Should we introduce optional accounts in the future, we will provide both in-app and web-based account-deletion options, in line with applicable app store and legal requirements, and we will update this page accordingly.
