1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Find My Car mobile application (the "App"), provided by SoftwareDevTeam ("we", "us", "the Developer"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Licence to use the App
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and any rules of the app store from which you obtained it. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
3. Safety & your responsibility
The App is a convenience aid that records places you choose and shows an approximate distance and direction back to them. It is not a professional navigation, safety, or emergency system.
Do not use while driving
Never operate, view, or interact with the App while driving or otherwise operating a vehicle. Only use it when it is safe to do so and you are stationary. Always keep your attention on the road and your surroundings.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- The built-in compass shows a straight-line direction and distance to a saved point — not a turn-by-turn route, a walkable/drivable path, or road guidance.
- Location accuracy depends on your device, GPS/satellite conditions, and the environment (for example indoors, underground car parks, tunnels, or dense urban areas), and may be delayed, imprecise, or unavailable.
- You are solely responsible for how you use the App and for complying with all applicable laws and rules — including traffic laws, parking regulations, time limits, permits, private-property and trespassing rules. The App does not know or enforce any parking rules or restrictions.
- You remain responsible for your own safety and decisions, and for verifying your real-world surroundings.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not responsible for any parking fines, penalties, towing, clamping, lost, damaged, or stolen vehicles, missed appointments, personal injury, property damage, or any other loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the App.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App. In particular, you will not: use the App for any unlawful purpose; attempt to disrupt or compromise it; or copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer it except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
5. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, or available at all times, or that it will meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the Developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or vehicles, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the extent liability cannot be excluded, the Developer's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid for the App (which for a free app is zero) or (b) the minimum amount required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
7. Third-party services
The App may open third-party services — for example, it hands off to Google Maps (or your default maps app or browser) when you choose to navigate, and it relies on Google Play Services for location. Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies, over which we have no control and for which we accept no responsibility. Your use of them is at your own risk.
8. Intellectual property
The App and all associated content, design, trademarks, and software are owned by the Developer or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited licence to use the App and do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
9. Availability & changes to the App
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for doing so.
10. Termination
This licence applies until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach these Terms. You may end it at any time by ceasing to use and uninstalling the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 5, 6, 7, and 8 — will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from any mandatory protections of the country in which you reside, and nothing here removes those protections.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
